-Chapter 1-
Wynd and Streke wait until the storm dies down before beginning their journey.
-Chapter 2-
Wynd and Streke escape from ghosts on the moor, not without sustaining a troubling omen from one of the spirits. Soon they came to a seemingly normal forest, but upon furthur inspection it is revealed that it is swarming with crows but they find no other signs of life. Wynd flies off o find food and investigate.
-Chapter 3-
Wynd is pursued by hundreds of ravens and crows who chase him across a desolate moor. He looses them on a sheer cliff-face that leads to a desert. At the top of the cliff he finds a peculiar wagon trail and follows it, hoping to score an easy meal.
-Chapter 4-
wynd catches up with the wagon and attacks, carrying off a horse.
-Chapter 5-
Wynd is pulled down by the vengeful men who it turns out, were collecting bodies of fallen soldeirs. Wynd manages to escape with his catch and heads off to find Streke. Razac appears and kills the wagon men. Saphear is found to be dead.
-Chapter 6-
Streke looses out to a giant eagle and makes his way back to the forest. Wynd finds him and they are both greeted by a strange talking otter who beckons them to follow him.
-Chapter 7-
The otter leads them to an old male dragon who tells Streke and Wynd to go to the grand council.
-Chapter 8-
Zeara of the Black Clan arranges plans to attack the kingdom of Demamecha. Razac is given an assignment.
-Chapter 9-
Wynd and Streke head toward the grand council through the desert where they get caught up in a sandstorm.
-Chapter 10-
After killing the kings daughter, wolves lead their pursuers into the desert.
-Chapter 11-
The boars catch up with Wynd and Streke, chasing them toward an ancient temple.
-Chapter 12-
Akhlut the wolf enters the temple, trying to find Traal.
-Chapter 13-
Akhlut fools the resident wolves who then lead them to investigate a scene a the temple entrance. They end up in a fight between the dragons and the men and their mounts. In the end, Wynd, Streke and Traal are captured to be taken to Demamecha.
